A close shave in the ring for Colin.
August 29, 2001

A wrestling extravaganza at a Telford theatre is set to end in a close shave thanks to a Shropshire barber who is getting in on the action.
Promoters of the NWA-UKHammerlock Wrestling event at Oakengates Theatre next week made an appeal through the Shropshire Star for a barber to play a central role in the evening's entertainment.
During one of the contests there will be a head shaving match with the wrestler who loses having his head shaved while he is still in the ring and in full view of the public.
Colin McCormack, who owns Colin's Barbers, in Madeley, Telford, has offered his services after responding to the appeal.
Colin, one of the county's last remaining traditional cut-throat wet shavers, said he was looking forward to the challenge on September 7.
It's not the first time he has stepped into the limelight as he has made several TV appearances as a barber.
